Matias Carrasco Kind

Biography

Matias Carrasco Kind is the Director of the Data Science Research Services (DSRS) within the Gies College of Business. He is also a Research Assistant Professor in both the Accountancy and Astronomy departments, as well as at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), all at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign (UIUC). He has extended his expertise to Earth sciences, bio-imaging, veterinary medicine, agricultural economics, and finance research. He is also one of the first Trusted CI Fellows at the Trusted CI NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. He holds a Faculty-in-residence position at the Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) in Chicago, IL.
